The hotel is located right in the city centre of Cologne, behind the famous Dom Cathedral and 10 minutes’ walk from the main train station. It is also a 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station, "Ebertplatz."

The Santo Hotel is housed in a renovated typical townhouse, now boasting a more modern design, with glassfronts and steel pillars. The medium sized lobby has a bar beside the reception desk and a huge seating area opposite. Also medium sized, the 79 guestrooms are designed in a modern, warm boutique style, with exclusive wooden furniture and wooden floorboard. All are clean and well maintained, as are the unique and contemporary en suite bathrooms. The breakfast room/bar on the ground floor is also designed in a boutique style, with photographs by Helmut Newton and dark brown furnishings.
