Excellent Hotel with great service. Use the tram to get around. The Heumarket stop is only 5 minutes walk away and they are faster than taxis. If there are 4 or more of you buy the day ticket for 5 people.
Top Tip
Eat at the Fruh Brauhaus near the Dom.Great atmosphere and value.(you can't reserve a table unless there are at least 8 in your party.)
Also note that many restaurants and shops do not take credit cards or Amex so be prepared with cash as well!

The hotel was brilliant, the service was top class, staff were so freindly and helpful. Food was excellent, location great for the markets and main shopping centre. Rooms and main areas were spotless. Was not aware that I would be billed for going in the pool, thought this was free to guests.

The hotel was a short walk from Lindt Chocolate Shop and Chocolate Museum which was well worth the visit.

This hotel is fantastic.Great Location, great rooms, great buffet breakfast (with free champagne on Sunday).Good bar with live music Saturday.
Only complaint is that service in the bar when quiet is so slow. Ok when its busy but otherwise a joke!
Concierge and front desk staff first class ! Try to get a high floor as views are so much better.

Christmas market at Neumarket is the best also medieval market at Chocolate museum is quite different. Worth the 2.50 euro to enter.Or take a 30 minute train ride to Siegburg to see an even better one cost 4.10 each way

Some room deals included free use of the excellent adjoining Holmes Place gym and pool. Unfortunately we found out to our dismay at check0in that our room package did not include this facility and would cost 15 Euro pre person per day. However breakfast was included and this was superb.

Cologne zoo was worth a visit as was a day trip to Bonn.
The El De House was interesting but not for kids as it was the WWII Gestapo HQ.
The chocolate museum was only okay.
Peters Brauhaus is a must visit for the atmosphere and local beer.
