The Hopper St Antonius Hotel is housed in a converted journeyman's hostel dating from 1905. The medium sized lobby features blue décor and conveys an impressive feeling when you enter the building. The 54 guestrooms have separate lounge areas, kambala parquet flooring, teak furniture and photographic art work on the walls. They are clean and well maintained, as are the black marble tiled en suite bathrooms. The restaurant is decorated in a Belgian coffee house style with huge glass doors and yellow walls and serves Mediterranean and international dishes. It is also possible to dine al fresco in the cobbled courtyard and garden. The hotel's vaulted basement is also home to the Tiefrot contemporary theatre company, who host regular performances there.
