The Hopper Et Cetera Hotel is housed in a red-brick, 5-storey building, which is a converted 19th century monastery. The small lobby has a compact brown reception desk and a seating area on the right side of the entrance. When you enter the lobby you will see a monk sitting opposite the reception desk. He looks real but is made of papier maché - a symbol of the property’s heritage. Eucalyptus parquet flooring and cherry-wood furniture complement the 49 guestrooms' crisp furnishings and original modern art. All the rooms are clean and well maintained, as are the bathrooms, which are tiled with black marble. The restaurant is situated in the former chapel which is dominated by a ceiling high oil-painting reproduction of the apse. International dishes are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and in summer food can be enjoyed outside on the leafy courtyard patio. The health club offers a Finnish hemlock sauna, solarium and fitness equipment and is situated in the vaulted cellar of the former cloister. The hotel also displays original works by artists such as Carolyn Sheehan and Alexander Tschechovskoy throughout the public areas and in the guestrooms.
