The Coellner Hof Hotel is housed in a 6-storey, turn-of-the-20th-century building and is a well-maintained, comfortable property. The public areas are distinguished looking, and some, including the dining room, feature rich wood panelling. Each of the 79 guestrooms is decorated in a conservative, solid style that evokes a baronial German home. The newer bedrooms are being updated in a crisp, comfortable, more international style, which, in its use of neutral, monochromatic colours and dark hardwoods, creates a soothing ambience. Bedrooms are larger than the norm in government-rated three-star hotels, and each comes with a small, tiled bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
